Built in 1916 by renowned architect Thomas W. Lamb, the Ridgewood Theater is an excellent example of the theater as a building type.
Shuttered and disused since 2008, the theater's exterior received landmarks designation through efforts of many civic groups and grassroots efforts. As of March 2013, there is a potential sale on the building, the next chapter in the theater's fate is unknown. WeHeartRT wants to ensure the community's interest is represented and engage the new owner going forward.
With convenient access to public transit, the Ridgewood Theater has tremendous potential to be successful. WeHeartRT wants to understand the new owner's plans and participate in it's future planning.
